From government inspector to innovator

Our co-founder Caroline worked for over 15 years in the public sector as director of the environmental agency, where she carried out daily inspections of businesses to check, amongst other things, their compliance with statutory inspections and permits.

At the end of 2018, she changed course. In her role as an environmental inspector, she had often seen that it is really not easy for an entrepreneur to keep up to date with the hundreds of environmental and safety regulations, and that it is even less clear how to acquire the necessary knowledge and then implement it in the workplace. She felt strongly that there was an opportunity to help entrepreneurs ensure they were in compliance with the law before they ran into trouble. This is how Artion came into being: a SaaS platform designed to deal with statutory inspection obligations in a smart way and to manage compliance within companies.
